WWE: Levi Stadium to host WrestleMania 31
SANTA CLARA — The Silicon Valley is ready to rumble. Santa Clara Mayor Jamie Matthews — along with the Cities of Santa Clara and San Jose, the San Francisco 49ers and the WWE — announced Monday that WrestleMania 31 will be held in Levi's Stadium on March 29, 2015. “On behalf of the entire Silicon Valley, we are grateful that WWE chose Levi’s Stadium to host its largest annual celebration in 2015,” Matthews said. “WrestleMania is certain to be one of the highlights of the stadium’s inaugural year." The announcement was made at a press conference at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Mayor Matthews, Executive Director of the San Jose Sports Authority Patricia Ernstrom, Chief Executive Officer of the San Francisco 49ers Jed York and San Francisco 49ers Tight End Vernon Davis joined WWE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Vince McMahon, WWE Executive Vice President of Creative Stephanie McMahon and WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events John P. Saboor in making the announcement. Also in attendance was WWE Superstars John Cena, Alberto Del Rio, Big Show, Sheamus, Mark Henry, Fandango, The Great Khali, R-Truth and WWE Divas Brie Bella, Nikki Bella and Summer Rae.
