Teofila Tristan

Passed away in Hollister. She is survived by her sister and her husband, Taide and Victor Mata of Hollister and she worked for San Benito Foods for over 40 years. The Rosary will be Sunday, Dec. 10th at 6:00 PM at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Mass will be on Monday, Dec. 11th at 9:00 AM at Saint Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.

Marie K. Rivera (Diaz)

Marie K. Rivera (Diaz), born 11/23/23, passed away 12/5/06. Born in Sanger, CA, of German descent. Raised in Hollister, CA. Lived in Gilroy from 1941 to 1967, then moved to San Jose, CA. Preceded in death by her husbands; Joe L. Rivera and Benny D. Diaz, Sr., son Benny D. Diaz, Jr., her daughter-in-laws; Nancy A. Diaz and Sinah D. Diaz, and her grandson Teddy A. Diaz.

Thomas (Tom) Weller Cheal

Tom Cheal passed away Sunday, December 3rd at the age of 91, in Morgan Hill, his home for 86 years. Born in South San Francisco, Tom moved with his family to their ranch on San Pedro Avenue, where he lived with his late mother, father and sister until 1976. Tom was an active and proud walnut farmer always known for his great sense of style and love of Buicks.

Richard O. Gordon

Richard Oscar Gordon passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, December 3, 2006. He was born in Champagne County, Ohio, on January 5, 1932 and was the 9th of 12 children.

Jesus P. Casas

Jesus P. Casas passed away at the age of 83, surrounded by family on December 3, 2006 in Morgan Hill, CA. He was born in Texas, lived in Sacramento, then moved to Fresno with his first wife Maria. Their first daughter Maria Luisa, was born then died 4 yrs later in San Francisco where they settled. They had three daughters and a son. Jesus worked as a warehouseman and Teamster's Union member. He retired to Morgan Hill where he lived for the last 30 years. Jesus was a frequent seller at the Morgan Hill Fleamarket for over 15 years. He is survived by his wife Dominga, his children Sally Casas, Jesse Casas, Gloria Casas and Sylvia Topete(Sergio); his grandchildren, Joseph Rose IV, Jenelle Vasquez, Jeanine Casas, Jesse Casas, Andrea, Adriana and Alex Topete; and his great granddaughter, Alicia Vasquez. Visitation will be on Friday, December 8, 2006 from 5 - 8pm with a vigil service to commence at 7:00 pm both at Johnson Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine's Church at 10am on Saturday, December 9, 2006 followed by a reception. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery at 2:30pm in Colma, CA.

Albert R. Delorme

Lincoln, RI - Albert R. Delorme, 84, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2006. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita E. (Malo) Delorme. Born in Pawtucket, RI, a son of the late Romeo J. and Olivine D. (Goyette) Delorme, he had resided in Pawtucket and Morgan Hill, CA, before moving to Lincoln, RI in 2000. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Delorme attended the RI School of Design. He was a quality control inspector for United Technologies, Coyotte, CA for 11 years, retiring in 1989. He was previously employed by Cumberland Engineering, So. Attleboro, MA, and Industrial Tool, Georgiaville, RI. He was a member of the K of C Council 4006, Lincoln; Eugene T. Lefebvre VFW Post 1271, Central Falls, RI and the USS Pennsylvania BB-38 Reunion.

Bruce M. Davis

Passed away in Campbell. He is the husband of Rosie Mata Davis.

Manuel A. Canez

Manue A. Canez passed away at Stanford Medical Center.

John G. Pipkin

John Gary Pipkin was born in Modesto, CA, and was raised in the Fresno area. He moved to Morgan Hill in early 1962. John started a career as a carpenter until opening his own business, "Morgan Hill Motorcycle Salvage Shop". This was the first salvage shop for motorcycles in California, and was boasted as a "House of a Million Parts". John's shop was easily noticed, as it was painted bright orange & purple, and had a landmark three wheel chopper, located at the front of the store. This store front became an icon for the City of Morgan Hill.
