Paul Malech
Paul Malech passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007 after a long illness. He was the son of Earl and Ruth Malech, and spent his early years on the Malech ranch in Coyote. He attended local schools; Hartnell College in Salinas and Fresno State College, after which he joined the U.S. Navy. Upon returning from his Navy commitment, he lived and worked in Morgan Hill as a builder. In 1957, he married Mary Hale of Morgan Hill, and they had three sons who survive him; Steve (Donna) of Morgan Hill, Scott (Amy) of Escondido and Tom (Julie) of Coyote. He was grandpa "Pablo" to his grandchildren, Matthew, Julia, Luke, Amanda, Morgan, Hudson and Presley. He also leaves his beloved brothers, Burt, Keith and Ray, and sister, Lucille Melot. He was uncle to many nieces and nephews, and friend to many. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the Masonic Temple, 380 W. Dunne Avenue in Morgan Hill. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's memory to St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Morgan Hill.
Carl Hamilton
Carl Hamilton, 83, died April 4, 2007 at Pacific Hills Manor in Morgan Hills, CA after a long period of declining health. He was born October 8, 1923 in Laconia, New Hampshire, the son of William G and Mildred (Joyal) Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton was a graduate of Laconia High School in 1941. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Asian-Pacific Theatre. He also served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a life member of the American Legion and the VFW in Laconia. He moved his family to California and enjoyed a 23 year career with Rockwell International in El Segundo, CA. He was very active with the Little League Organization, Boy Scouts, and a long-time Elks and Moose member. Survivors include his wife, Kazuko Hamilton; daughters, Christina Mariani, Dianna Hamilton, Nina Birch; sons, Bryan Hamilton and Kevin Hamilton. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Frances Holmes Stanfield passed away on March 23, 2007 in Milwaukee, WI at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born on May 2, 1924 in Gilroy to Harry and Fannie Holmes.
Diane (DeeDee) McClinton Stewart
Diane passed away from internal complications brought about by bilateral total knee replacement. DeeDee was from Southern CA, and raised her family in Los Gatos. Her husband, Jason and her children Jason II, Holly Stewart-Carey, Tory Strong, and David survive her. She has ten grandchildren, Katie, Kelsey, Megan, Zack, Nicki, Jed, Jake, Rocky, Zeke, and Max.
Vera Arlene O’Dell
Vera "Arlene" O'Dell, 71, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007; she is now at peace after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of 53 years to Don O'Dell of San Martin, loving mother of Michael O'Dell and his wife, Lori of Boulder Creek and Laurie Frechette and her husband, Ben of Gilroy.
