Barbara Jean Neill
Barbara "Bobbie" Jean Neill, 57, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2007, in San Antonio. She was born on July 10, 1949, in Santa Barbara, CA, to George and Barbara Huskey. Bobbie will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, a devoted and caring wife, and a delightful friend to all who knew her. An avid reader, she was happiest with a good book and her husband by her side.
Kay B. Hodgson
Kay B. Hodgson, aged 89 years, passed away at her Hollister residence April 22nd. Kay was a native of Maui, Hawaii and had lived in Sunnyvale, CA for almost 50 years.She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 glorious years, P. J. Hodgson and son Jimmy Hodgson, as well as her parents, Ruth and Matias Gutierres, and six siblings: Joe Gutierres, Isabella Krainock, Juanita Perez, Ruth Nabas, John Gutierres, and Pearl Jurevich. She is survived by nieces and nephews: Janice Dutra, Bob Nabas, Geri McKeller, Ron Gutierres, Susan Russi, Bill Jurevich, Gayla Jurevich, Steve Jurevich, Jill Jurevich, David Jurevich, Bruce Krainock, Joyce Walkey, and Linda Kraincok and many great nieces and nephews. Kay was a very proud and well respected self employed beautician in Sunnyvale for over 50 years. When she retired, she and her husband Paul J. Hodgson moved to Hollister to be close to their son, James Alan Hodgson, who was the pharmacist at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital. Jimmy passed away in 1997 and Paul died in 2003. When her husband was alive, they enjoyed dinners and dancing with their many friends.
Julius (Yehudi) Sepulveda
Julius "Yehudi" Sepulveda passed away at his residence on Saturday ,April 21st ,with his family by his side. "Yehudi", as he was effectionally called, was a native of Hollister. He attended local schools and San Benito High School. He was a 46 year member of the Operating Engineers Local No. 3 of Morgan Hill. Yehudi was a heavy equipment operator for Mark Nicholson Construction Company for 38 years. He enjoyed the out-of-doors, riding motorcycles on and off road in his younger years, as well as spending time in the hills hunting here or in northeastern Nevada.
Lillie Harietta Anderson Marcheski
Lillie Harietta Anderson Marcheski passed away in Hollister. She was born in Blue Earth, MN to Gustave and Sara Anderson and received her nursing degree from the University of Minneapolis and later became a certified nurse anethesist. She and her twin sister, Lilla, joined the Red Cross at the start of WWII and then joined the army and served with the 166 Evac. Hospital Unit in New Guinea. Later, she joined the Air Force and retired as a Major. She then worked at the VA Hospital in Fresno as chief anethesist until she retired in 1975. She married her husband, Jack Marcheski, in December of 1975 and pursued her interest in photography. She was a member of The Photographic Society of America, Hollister Camera Club and Central Coast Counties Camera Club. She was a four star exhibitor in both nature and pictorial slides in the Photographic Society of America competition. She enjoyed traveling on photo trips with Jack and also to Jack's antique auto and classic car club meets.
Gertie Lee Dotson-Phillips
Gertie Lee Dotson-Phillips passed away in Gilroy on April 20, 2007. She was born July 13, 1912 in Cove Creek, Arkansas. Gertie was the mother of Clark (Carol) Dotson, grandmother of Anita Wilson, Ken Burns, Cindy (Paul) Karpinsky, Manuel (Nancy) Burns, Karen Ahumada, Robert (Vera) Burns, Christy (John) Winter and David Burns, great-grandmother of James Wilson, John (Amy), Tara and Jimmy Karpinsky, Jordenne and Jesus Burns, Lindsey and Jason Ahumada, Zack and Griffen Burns, John and Andrew Winters and Kathie, Michael and Anthony Burns, great-great-grandmother of Cody and Sydney Karpinsky, stepmother of Juanita (Howard) Schuler and aunt of Maxine (Rudy) Siderits. She was preceded in death by her husbands Oscar Burns Sr., Cecil Dotson and Troy Phillips, her son Oscar Burns, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and stepson Coy Phillips. She has been a Gilroy resident for over 40 years.
Reade Anthony Giraulo
Reade Anmony Giraulo passed away Saturday afternoon at his home in Gilroy with his family at his side. Reade moved from New York to California seven years ago and lived with his daughter and son-in-law after his wife, Edith, of 52 years, passed away.

Frank (Panchito) Garcia
Frank "Panchito" Garcia passed away in Hollister. He was born in Querendaro, Michoacan, Mexico and lived in San Benito County for over 50 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Garcia, who died in 1989 and worked in agriculture and in the cannery. He originally came here with the Bracero Program and worked for Gilroy Foods. He was a member of the Teamster's Union and Jehovah's Witnesses.
Rose Elaine Kong
Rose Elaine Kong died of a stroke while traveling in Leiden, The Netherlands, with daughters, Gwen and Pamela, their husbands; Robert Gin and Robert Hilbert and Rose's good friend, Ann Leong Williams. Rose recently celebrated her 90th birthday and we have that and a lifetime of warm memories.
Walter L. Rabenorth
Walter L. Rabenorth passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his sister and great-nephew by his side, at the age of 79 in his home in Hollister.
