Eugene J. Bisceglia

Eugene J. Bisceglia, aged 89 years, passed away Thursday at Mabie Skilled Nursing Center. Mr. Bisceglia was born in San Jose, but lived in San Benito county all his life. He was a self employed construction laborer and farmer. His memberships included Sacred Heart Church and the Laborers Union of San Jose. Eugene was the husband of late Katie Bisceglia. He is survived by his children, Lavina Calamo of Mass., Eugene "Butch" Bisceglia of Washington, Joseph Bisceglia of Hollister, Larry Bisceglia of Texas, Frankie Bisceglia of Hollister, Margie LeGrand of Hollister, Peter Bisceglia of Hollister, Nancy Bravo of Sunnyvale, Dolores Bravo of Fresno and Mary Casarez of Hollister. Brother of Leonore Andrade of Shasta Lake. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Carmen Miner

Carmen Miner passed away in San Jose. Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow the services at St. Benedict Church Columbarium.

Dolores Weathermon

Dolores Weathermon, a long time resident of Gilroy, passed away at Regional Medical Center, after a long illness. Her family was at her side. Her body had become her prison & now she has been set free. Dee was a strong person & faced many challenges in her life. Dee is survived by her daughters; Cindy & Stacy, grandchildren; Sabrina & Brian, and great-grandson, Dylan, brothers & sisters; VIrginia, Dorothy, Nancy, Bill, Allan, Charles, Ronald & Donald.

Rachel Mae Larson

Rachel Mae Larson, 80, passed away on June 8, 2007 in Crescent City, CA. She was born to Dick & Minnie (Ratzluff) Wiebe on June 12, 1926 in Newton, KS. She was a 40 year resident of Santa Clara County, making her home in Gilroy, CA. She managed apartment buildings in both Gilroy and Saratoga, CA. She enjoyed tennis, love to gamble and she loved gardening. She also enjoyed the company of her dog Duffy.

Virginia L. Drummond

Virginia L. Drummond passed away Friday afternoon at Hazel Hawkins Hospital. She was a native of California, coming to Hollister 6 years ago. Virginia was a retired school teacher. As per her wishes, she will be cremated with burial at sea. A memorial service is planned in the near future.

Martin P. Rajkovich

Martin P. Rajkovich passed away at his home in San Juan Bautista Thursday morning at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in San Jose to Croatian immigrant parents, Peter and Nikulina Rajkovich. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic grammar school in San Jose and Fremont High School in Sunnyvale. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1961. Martin was an orchardist and businessman most of his life growing cherries, apricots and walnuts. Martin was a 44 year member of the Elks Lodge, the past president of the local Model A club, a member of the Farm Bureau, a member of the N.R.C.S. (National Resource Conservation Agency), a delegate of Western Growers, a member of the Cherry advisory board and a member of the Mission San Juan Bautista. Martin was a skilled welder and talented fabricator, having welded all the ornamental iron work on his new home in San Juan Canyon. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, collector of antique cars and traveler, traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Martin P. Rajkovich passed away at his residence in San Juan Bautista at the age of 70 years. A native of San Jose, CA, Martin has lived in San Benito County for 49 years.
