Richard E. “Dick” Killer August 05, 1934 – December 16, 2016
Richard Ernest Killer passed away Friday December 16, 2016 at home with family. Born in Connecticut he attended the Coast Guard Academy for one year and joined USAF where he trained to be a pilot. He flew B47s and super sonic B58s. He was based at Little Rock AFB where he met Carol, his wife of 51 years. He left the Air Force and went to work for Pan American Airlines as a flight engineer. When Pan Am went out of business he went to work for United Airlines and was a check engineer for both airlines.
Elmer D. “Reggie” Denner October 20, 1933 – December 17, 2016
Elmer David Reggie Denner, 83, of Hollister, California passed away on December 17, 2016 in his home with his family at his side. Services are pending. Reggie was born in Exmouth, England to Katherine (ne Frye) and William Denner on October 20, 1933. His father was killed at sea during WW II. His young widowed mother, three siblings, Mollie, John, Vivian and stepfather Charles Surgey immigrated to California to start a new life in Santa Cruz. He attended Boulder Creek High School entering the United States Marine Corps shortly after, serving in Korea in the early fifties. He became a successful journeyman plumber for 36 years in Santa Clara County installing exotic prototype plumbing in seminal Silicon Valley semi conductor industries. He has four children, David, Mary Ann, Charles and Cindy; has grandchildren; Melody, Jennifer, Lee Ann, Destiny, Douglas, and Matthew, and many great grandchildren. He married his devoted wife, Pamela, in 1987. He will be remembered for embracing so many lives with his open arms and joy in life, affecting many. He is preceded in death by his sister Molly Massmasman and brother John Denner. Memorial donations may be made to the Hollister Veterans Memorial and Jovenes de Ano.
Sharon Ann Corini December 28, 1949 – December 12, 2016
Sharon Ann Corini, following a 10 year battle with cancer, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on the morning of December 12, 2016 in Hollister. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Nickolas J Corini, her daughter Nicole Maican and her husband Radu, Sons Wayne Corini and his wife Vicki, Nick Corini and wife Julie, and Tony Corini. She also leaves behind 12 Grandchildren, in addition to her sister Patty Almond and husband John, and sister Nancy Dover and her husband Roger. Sharon was born on December 28, 1949 in Gilroy, California to Michael Salvadore Lo-Nero, and Enzina Helen Bondi Lo-Nero, who both have predeceased her in death. She was a graduate of Live Oak High School and Bryman College, and employed by Jan Marini Skin Care Research as Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the Vice President. In 2004 she won the Stevie Award from the American Business Awards as the Best Support Staffer in the United States and was presented her award in New York.She enjoyed, on television, watching Dancing With The Stars, Family Feud withSteve Harvey, and numerous Cooking shows and competitions.Sharon loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and read her Bible every day andher life exemplified that He lived within her in the love she showed her children and grandchildren and in her service to the community in various projects including setting up and funding a snack shack for Upward Sports, a Christian Organization, so underprivileged children could receive scholarships andparticipate in youth sports while learning and experiencing the love of Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by family and all who were fortunate enough to be apart of her life. Visitation will be at the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home at 870 San Benito Street, Hollister on Monday, December 19th from 5 to 8 PM. Church Services at the Christ Fellowship Church, 2066 San Benito Street, Hollister on Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 at 9:30 AM followed by burial at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. Donations to the American Cancer Society.
Ruben G. Hernandez October 9, 1924 to December 14, 2016
Ruben died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. He has joined his beloved wife, Concepcion, who he married on October 13, 1959, and with whom he spent 48 years of his life. Our loving Tata will be missed by his surviving daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews. In his early years, Ruben worked harvesting agriculture crops with his sisters. He later proudly worked as a laborer with Rosendin Electric until his retirement in 1984. He loved baking, his woodwork, and his family, which he was always ready and eager to help. He lived a happy and full life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
