Andrew “Andy” Hassler April 28, 1967 – March 27, 2012

Andrew “Andy” Hassler passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 27th, 2012 at the age of 44 years. He is survived by his wife Sandra Bautista; children Kassandra and David Reyes, Ruben and Charolette Alnas; his grandchildren Aaliyah Flores and Andrew (Boy) Flores and one soon to be born granddaughter; his siblings John Wade Hassler Jr. (Monica), William (Nancy), Peter (Rebecca), Molly and Sarah; five nieces and six nephews.

Mary Jane Fosdick

Our wonderful, loving mother and friend was born 9-23-1944 in Lexington, NE. She passed away after 9 successful years of fighting cancer, beating all odds. She was originally diagnosed in 2001, with Stage 4 cancer, and was given only 4-6 months to live.

Nancy Ebaugh Hays

Nancy Hays was entered into rest on February 15, 2007 in San Jose. She was born in Gilroy to Dr. James and Floy Ebaugh, who survive her. She resided in Gilroy most of her life, graduating from Gilroy High School in 1965. She graduated from San Jose State University in 1969. She was the loving mother of Heather Hays Ancheta (Lawrence) and the devoted grandmother to her precious Kalea Ancheta. She leaves her sister Laura Stocks (David) of Gilroy and her brother Mark Ebaugh (Torrey) of Madera. Her brother David Ebaugh preceded her in death. Her sister-in-law Ellen Ebaugh of Spokane survives.

Shirley R. Prather

Shirley Prather passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Morgan Hill at the age of 81.

Lauren June Geiger May 29, 1989 – September 30, 2012

A very special soul was welcomed into Heaven on September 30, 2012. Lauren June Geiger, 23, passed away in Pennsylvania from a tragic ATV accident, but at the time, she was enjoying life as she always had.

Judy L. Giretti March 26, 1940 – March 3, 2017

Judy Lee Giretti passed away March 3, 2017 at the age of 76 with her daughters at her side. Judy is survived by her ex-husband Harry Giretti, daughters Tammy Minolli and Hydie McDonald (Steve), grandchildren Matt Minolli (Alex), Terra Minolli (Bruce), Jacob and Londa McDonald, and great-grandchildren Olive and Elias Minolli.

Angel Salazar Jimenez August 2, 1935 – March 14, 2017

A Memorial service was held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at St. Catherine's Church in Morgan Hill.

Margie C. Alvarez

Margie C. Alvarez passed away Sunday afternoon at the age of 48 in Hollister. She was born in Hollister and had lived here all her life. She was a graduate of San Benito High School and was a former employee of Wapples Pharmacy. She also did family home care for many years.

Isabel Olmos

Isabel Olmos was born in Tlachichila, Zacatecas and came to Gilroy in 1952 after marrying Hipolito Olmos. She was all of 4 ft. 4 inches tall but to her family she was a Giant. She was a farm worker until she was hired at our local cannery. She always remembered how she had to stand on a "prune box" in order to reach the conveyor belts at the Felice and Perelli Cannery, later known as the Gilroy Cannery. She later went on to work and retire from Joseph Gubser Garlic Company.

Bernard John Goldsmith April 22, 1919 – February 18, 2017

Born in Oakland. John was an Eagle Scout, graduated from UC Berkeley where he was editor of the Blue and Gold and president of ATO fraternity, served as Captain in the Marine Corps during WWII, married Virginia Darling Hess, was a teacher and school principal, developed a ground-breaking gifted-children program, received a Masters from Stanford, raised a family in Redwood City, and enjoyed his last 42 years in Hollister.
