After earning $20,000 for serving as Gavilan College’s interim president for one month earlier this year, Dr. Victor Krimsley is rejoining the community college staff as the new interim Vice President for Special Projects, a position the Board created specifically for him.

Gavilan College student wins PG&E scholarship
A Gavilan College MESA student earned the MESA Undergraduate Scholarship from the Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Alicia Ornelas-Stevens was one of 12 MESA community college students to win a $1,000 award. Alicia will be transferring to UC Davis in the fall 2013 semester. She is majoring in computer science.

The Morgan Hill Unified Board of Education made a bold and united stand Tuesday, keeping it in the family and appointing Steve Betando as the interim superintendent for the departing Wes Smith, who notified the district last week that he will be leaving at the end of June.
