The Gavilan men’s soccer team takes a three-game win streak into today’s home finale against Skyline, looking to keep itself in the postseason hunt.

Staring defeat in the face, the Gavilan College women’s volleyball team fought back from a two-sets-to-none hole and a daunting 22-15 deficit in the third set to steal a victory – 17-25, 21-25, 25-23, 25-18, 15-13 – from visiting Foothill College in thrilling fashion Friday night.

About to make the turn into the second half of Coast Conference South play, Gavilan College women's volleyball coach Kevin Kramer sensed his team required a shake up. It's not as though the Rams, who are currently in a three-way tie for first place - haven't performed. But like an iPod playlist that keeps repeating the same songs, Kramer knew hitting the shuffle button would excite everyone.

And just like that, the Gavilan College football team moved back into Coast Conference title contention Saturday night, holding on to defeat the San Jose City College Jaguars 30-27 at Garcia-Elder Sports Complex.
