6-1 record, complete with a win over rival Britton
MORGAN HILL — The Martin Murphy girls softball team ended the season with a 6-1 record, complete with a win over rival Britton. Having played all of their games on the road, the Mustangs’ only loss came against a talented Bernal club.
Coached by Kevin Mann and Bob Lurker, Martin Murphy opens the playoffs Tuesday. The team includes: Samantha Bean, Courtney Borja, Samantha Caskey, Sara Day, Alex Diaz, Sadie Elorreaga, Holly Holguin, Morgan Martinelli, Maya Read, Jalyssa Rivera, Marina Venosta, Daisy Villasenor and Nicole Warren.
