As Mayor of Morgan Hill, I know our city is strongest when we have great schools, thriving small businesses and high-quality public services. That’s why I’m supporting Proposition 15, the Schools & Communities First initiative on the November ballot.

Fundamentally, Proposition 16 is the latest skirmish in a decades-long conflict over the meaning of two words—affirmative action.

As a long time resident of over 30 years, I got some news that portions of a county road in Morgan Hill city limits is finally going to be repaired!

On Saturday, Aug. 29, a large group of unmasked Trump demonstrators walked through the outdoor dining areas along Monterey Road in downtown Morgan Hill. There was no physical distancing and they shouted slogans across our dinner plates.

We want a future where we can grow responsibly, attract strong talent, and provide a safe and affordable community to our employees.

During such a challenging time for the City of Morgan Hill, it is disappointing to learn that the current mayor is running unopposed in the next election.

There comes a time when each of us comes to terms with aspects of life that can change our views and challenge long held beliefs. For me it is the present issue of police in schools (school resource officers).
