Helping the Troops
Students at Barrett Elementary School wanted a project that would allow them to reach out and help others during the "giving season." The school's student council members decided a great way to give would be to show support for U.S. troops oversees. Students collected goodies - including lots of candy - to ship to a battalion in Iraq. The care packages were assembled last week and shipped out, hopefully reaching the troops by the holidays.
Live Oak Drama Club’s ‘My Sister Eileen’
Live Oak High's Afterschool Drama Guild presents the comedy, 'My Sister Eileen' at the Little Theater on the school campus, 1505 E. Main Ave., on Dec. 6 and 7 at 7:30pm and on Dec. 8 at 8pm. MH National Family Week Poster Contest Winners
"My Favorite Family Activity" was the theme for the poster drawing contest sponsored by the Morgan Hill National Family Week committee. All school children ages Kindergerten through eighth grade in the Morgan Hill Unified School District were invited to participate. The winning entries will be on display at the Morgan Hill Community Center through Nov. 30. The public is invited to see the children's drawings.
