Loving wife of the late Ramon Marquez. Mother of Jesus Marquez of Las Vegas, NV, Enrique Marquez (Jane) of Sunnyvale, CA, Raymond Marquez (Terri) of San Ramon, CA, Maria Garcia (Joe Seferino) of Gilroy,
Raquel Marquez of Las Vegas, Raul Marquez (Sue) of Pleasanton, CA, Jose Gabriel Marquez (March) of Seattle, WA, Molly Kalff (Paul) of Campbell, CA, Yolanda Clark (Phil) of Gilroy, James Marquez (Theresa) of Gilroy and Chris Denice (David) of San Martin.
Grandmother of 27; Great- grandmother of 15: Sister of Tito Baquera of Chihuahua, Petra Villagran of Chihuahua and preceded in death by many other siblings. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A native of Chihuahua, Mexico.
Raised in Chihuahua before moving to Gilroy in 1956. Mrs. Marquez was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Rosarita’s women’s club, Guadalupana, Sociedad Funeraria Mexicana and she supported and stood by her late husband building and maintaining the Virgen de Guadalupe Shrine located at the Chapel side of St. Mary’s Church built in 1968.
Vigil Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006 – 4:00 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy. Funeral Mass Monday, Dec. 11, 2006 – 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Gilroy. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
