His Celebration of Life is May 16th 10:30 A.M. at South Valley Community Church 8095 Kelton Drive, Gilroy, CA 95020. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Histiocytosis Association www.histio.org to help find a cure.
 John McWhorter Collett, 56, of Denver, CO, came Home to the Lord on Monday, April 27th, 2015, with the sunrise. In heaven, John has already captured group photos with his Dad and new friends, while reinventing the plumbing.
 John fought to the very end battling lymphoma cancer and HLH. His testimony of commendable strength and unwavering faith in Jesus provides immense research to save future families both physically and spiritually.
 John was born September 6th, 1958 to Mary Janice McWhorter and Dr. Robert Waterman Collett. He graduated with an Engineering Degree from CSU in 1980 and attended Monterrey Tech in Mexico where he learned Spanish. He married his loving wife Jennifer Ann Heiber June 13th, 1987 in Idaho Falls, ID and the adventure began. He had three outstanding children Maegan, Kyle, and Christina who he always encouraged to follow their passions. Since 1995, John found and ran Collett’s Water Heater Cleaning and Plumbing Service. He volunteered nonstop for the community; in Gilroy Chamber of Commerce, SCRA, SVCC Sunday school, Upward Sports, GGST, Mexico Outreach, church choirs, Kids Club and was so loved by everyone.
 John lived a dynamic life to the fullest and embraced the Creator’s Creation. His favorite place is his backyard, where he built a beautiful Garden for his family and everyone to enjoy and cultivate Life and Love together.
