Joan Elizabeth Lombardi February 1, 1939 – January 6, 2017

Joan Elizabeth Lombardi, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children, their spouses and her grandchildren on January 6, 2017 in Salinas, CA. Joan was born on February 1, 1939 in Kingston, PA to the late John and Kathryn Koprevich. She was the youngest of three children.
She graduated from Nesbitt Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. She followed her chosen career as a registered nurse for the next forty years until her retirement. In her retirement she traveled with her husband until his passing, spent time with her children and grandchildren and her many pets throughout the years. She loved living in Pine Canyon surrounded by nature.
Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred. F. Lombardi, her parents John and Kathryn Koprevich, and her son in law Donald Brothers.
She is survived by her children, Fred (Leslie) Lombardi, Anthony (Susie) Lombardi and Angela Lombardi. Her grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jenna, Brittni, Erick, Alexandra, Emily, Anthony and Andrew. Her Brother, Francis Koprevich and her sister Rita (Tom) Vojtek.
A celebration of life is being planned in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Monterey County SPCA.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Scott Tyler, her long time neighbor and friend for everything he has done for our mother and grandmother over the years, as he is truly a part of our family.
