Born Edna Mable Ganim, but known to all who loved her as Bonnie Camisa died peacefully at home with family at her side on 11/04/16. Bonnie survived metastatic breast cancer in 1995, but sadly developed late complications related to total brain radiation which contributed to her death.
Born in Weed, CA to Samuel and Emmeline Ganim, she graduated from Weed High and moved to Sacramento in 1962. There, on a blind date, she met her husband, John Camisa, and they were married in Weed, CA on July 11, 1964. Bonnie was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She was proud of her three children and rejoiced in being a grandmother.
Bonnie served the community of Morgan Hill as a Realtor from 1980 until 2007. She earned a Masters degree in Psychology from San Jose State University in 1995 and worked briefly in the field before returning to Real Estate.
Bonnie loved being at home almost as much as she loved to travel. Cruises including the Mississippi River, Alaska, Mediterranean and the Caribbean as well as the annual trip to the Big Island were some of the highlights.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, John, children Leanne (Dave), Matthew (Kathleen), Mark (Steffanie), brother Joe Ganim (Selma), eight amazing grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on January 14, 2017 at St Catherine’s Church at 12:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the American Cancer Society in Bonnie’s memory.
