Dustin Muhn

The senior running back amassed 1,477 yards and ran for 15 touchdowns as the Acorns advanced to the Central Coast Section playoffs. He earned first-team All-TCAL honors and was named the league’s best utility player. He also maintained a 4.17 GPA and was the school’s male scholar athlete of the year. He will attend UC Berkeley next season and play rugby.

Ronni Gautschi

The standout swimmer and water polo player was an All-CCS and All-TCAL honoree. She helped the Acorns win the TCAL water polo title and advance to the CCS playoffs and was a part of Live Oak’s TCAL champion swimming team. She graduates with a 3.9 GPA and was named the school’s top female scholar athlete. She is headed to San Diego State University on a scholarship.

Kristen Russ, Volleyball

Russ was second on the Live Oak volleyball team with 146 kills, 170 digs and 21 aces and helped lead the Acorns to the Central Coast Section playoffs.

Michael Lucarelli-Cowles, Volleyball

The senior was an All-TCAL selection as he finished fifth in the league and first on the team with 188 kills. He also led the team with 193 digs, good for third in the TCAL.

Brandon Greene, Basketball

Greene was Live Oak’s second-leading scorer at 10.1 points per game, finished second on the team in assists led the Acorns with 65 steals as they advanced to the CCS playoffs.

Micah Jones, Basketball

Jones led the Acorns’ boys team in scoring with 10.6 points per game and also finished fourth in the TCAL in steals while earning All-TCAL honors.

Mattie Borges, Basketball

The senior forward led the Live Oak girls team with 9.8 points per game and was the team’s top free-throw shooter while earning All-TCAL honors.

Kyle Mosbrucker, Baseball

The senior centerfielder was a first team All-TCAL selection after batting .402 with a home run and 22 RBIs for the Acorns. He was a two-time all-tournament selection, including the prestigious West Coast Classic.

April Herrera, Softball

The first-team All-TCAL catcher was Live Oak’s leader with 25 RBIs and also produced 10 multi-hit games to help lead the Acorns to the second round of the CCS playoffs.

Shaila Patel, Tennis

Patel provided some solid senior experience to the Live Oak girls tennis team. She was a four-year varsity performer and was the No. 1 singles player for the Acorns.

Eric Matsumoto, Tennis

The No. 1 player on the Live Oak boys tennis team was the runner up at the TCAL tournament and was the lone Acorn to advance to the CCS tournament, where he fell in the first round.

Shea Coleman, Swimming

One of the leaders on the Live Oak swim team, who was a part of its CCS-qualifying 200-yard medley relay team, was also a standout water polo player for the Acorns.

Laura Melroy, Swimming

The senior won the 200-yard freestyle event at the TCAL championships with a time of 2:01.68 to help Live Oak claim the league championship.

Amy Marshall, Swimming

Marshall was a three-time CCS qualifier in swimming, including advancing to the 200-yard medley relay finals this year while also being a first-team All-TCAL selection in water polo.

Jason Henderson, Wrestling

The senior 130-pound wrestler for Live Oak advanced to the CCS championships, where he had a 1-2 record, including a 20-10 major decision win over Wassem Lutfi of Scotts Valley.

Anthony Avalos, Soccer

The senior midfielder was the co-Player of the Year of the TCAL for the league champion Acorns, firing in 12 goals while dishing out 12 assists.

Garrett Frechette, Soccer

The senior forward shared the TCAL Player of the Year honors with Avalos. He paced the team and the league with 22 goals as Live Oak moved on to the CCS playoffs.

Jamie Hickey, Soccer

The senior defender was a four-year varsity starter for Live Oak. She was a first-team All-TCAL performer for the Acorns and helped anchor the defense.
