HOLLISTER — The Live Oak girls basketball team was defeated 57-29 Thursday night.

The Acorns were without Katrina Friebel, who is out with a knee injury she got in the North County game.

Melissa Llanes led the way for Live Oak with nine points, includining six in the first quarter.

The Balers started off the first quarter with a 23-8 run and was up 30-11 at the half.

Sarah Groham had 15 point, and Trisha Lee had 13 for the Balers.
