Rams to take on Sacramento City on Nov. 29
The Gavilan College football team is off to the Shrine Bowl to take on state-ranked Sierra College and the Rams want to bring a flock of hometown fans along with them to Sacramento.
The Coast Conference champions, who finished the regular season 3-1 in conference and 5-5 overall, will play in the Capitol Shrine Bowl on Nov. 29 at noon at Sacramento City College.
Gavilan secured the conference title with a 20-13 victory over Cabrillo on Nov. 8.
Fans and supporters can pre-purchase tickets for the game by calling Athletic Director Ron Hannon at 848-4895.
Tickets are $10 each, a portion of which (when pre-purchased through Gavilan College Athletics) will help to offset the cost of participating in the bowl game.
The college is also looking for sponsors to help with the overall expenditures of the trip to Sacramento.
