An Evening of the Arts will coincide with the Community Conference on Leadership presented and co-sponsored Oct. 21 by the Morgan Hill Community Foundation at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center.
Entries for submission are now being accepted from professional Morgan Hill visual artists.
During the Evening of the Arts, from 5-8 p.m., visual arts will be displayed in the Hiram Morgan Hill room and – weather and lighting permitting – outdoors by the glass fountain. Performing artists will appear on stage in the Hiram Morgan Hill Room and the Outdoor Amphitheater – or the Playhouse, if it is raining.
Selected visual artists will be invited to display and sell a selection of original work at the event. Art will be displayed on portable walls and tables. Each artist will be provided approximately 10’ x 10’ of space. There will be no fee for entry or sales commission required from the artists for this special event. Artists are expected to be set up by 4 p.m., be present throughout the evening, and tear down from 8-9 p.m.
To be considered, artists must currently live or work in the area bounded by the Morgan Hill School District. Slides or photographs of original art are acceptable for submission. Each image must be clearly labeled with the artist’s name and phone number, as well as media and dimensions. Artists must include a resumé with their submission.
Entries are due no later than Oct. 3, and should be mailed attention to:
