Juanito Tecson Maniquis,resident of Gilroy passed away on July 22, 2012. He was 89 years old.

 Juanito was born in San Miguel na Munti, Talavera, Nueva Ecija, Philippines to Joaquin and Valeriana Maniquis on May 27, 1923. He was one of 11 children and grew up in Bagong Sikat, Talavera, Nueva Ecija.  

 He worked for the Baliwag Transit in the Philippines for more than 30 years and at the San Mateo Transportation Authority (SamTrans) in San Mateo, CA for seven years.

 Juanito is survived by his second wife Ester Gilles Maniquis, eight children, 15 grandchildren, and four siblings. He was preceded in death by his first wife Aurora, and seven siblings.

 Funeral services were held at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park in San Mateo on July 27, 2012. Donations in memory of Juanito can be made to the American Kidney Fund (www.kidneyfund.org).
