Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority has invited all local nature enthusiasts to give back to nature by joining the agency’s 2025 Volunteer Cohort, the OSA said in a press release.
Volunteers play a key role in the OSA’s mission to care for and connect people to nature. Available volunteer roles and responsibilities include Land Stewards, Community Outreach Volunteers, Trail Patrol Volunteers, Preserve Stewards, Interpretive Docents and Trail Masters, says the press release.
Volunteers’ weekly schedules can vary depending on the role, and training is available for positions that require training.
“Whether you’re passionate about nature, educating the public, or want to do something positive for your community in the face of challenging climate news, we have a role for you,” said
Gavin Comstock, the OSA’s volunteer program administrator. “Together we can create local open spaces that are vibrant, sustainably managed and accessible for all.”
