Virginia F. Story December 9, 1929 - March 22, 2013

 A graveside ceremony for family and friends to celebrate the life of Virginia F. Story, former long time resident of Hollister and Selma, CA, will be held at Selma’s Floral Memorial Park cemetery Friday, March 29th, at 1:00 P.M.

 Virginia passed away March 22nd at her home in Newcastle, CA., at age 83, following a long-term battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Virginia retired as an accountant from the Selma J.C. Penny store in 1993, following a 25 year career with the company, starting in Hollister. She was a prolific crocheter and spent countless hours lovingly creating beautiful afghans, slippers, and other crocheted items for family and friends. Preceding Virginia in death was her husband Phillip Story, parents Walter and Maggie Shatley, brothers Arlice, Homer, Clyde, and J.V.; sisters Thelma Story, Gwendolyn Shatley, Lois Wyatt, Minnie Stephens, Alta Sue Duncan and Alma Lue Conine. Virginia is survived by her sons and their families, Phillip and Becky of Williston, ND., Dennis and Pam of Newcastle, CA., and Glenn of Selma; grandchildren Aaron, Heather, Jared, Jenna and Icee, and great-grandchildren, Preslee, Jhase, and Lillianna.
