Joshua Valdez, the young man who was found lying unconscious near a Morgan Hill intersection with numerous broken bones, remains in a coma following what police think is the result of a hit-and-run accident.

The Gilroy woman who accused a Morgan Hill police officer of illegally accessing her smartphone and uploading a personal photo to her Facebook account will get a check from the city for $75,000.

Grass fire contained before causing damage

A grass fire north of Morgan Hill, on the east side of the U.S. 101 burned about 20 acres of vegetation but caused no property damage, authorities said. 

Day care center evacuated after gas line rupture

Authorities evacuated a pre-school on Main Avenue after a construction crew ruptured an underground gas line, police said.

Man, woman flown to hospital after motorcycle collides with deer

A San Jose man and woman were flown to the hospital after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a deer in west Morgan Hill, authorities said.

Golf: Cantlay to return to Frys.com Open
