A 3,400 plant rural marijuana operation – that police estimate is worth $10.2 million – turned into a violent crime scene Thursday morning when deputies shot a Hispanic man associated with a pot farm operation near Mount Madonna County Park south of Highway 152 before arresting him several hours later.

Soccer: Morgan Hill natives lead soccer club team to nationals

For the first time since the club’s inception in 2004, the Central Valley Chilipeppers - led by Morgan Hill natives Colby Carson and Samantha Riolo - will play in the U.S. Club Soccer nationals July 24 through July 29 in South Carolina after finishing in second place during last weekend’s regional tournament in Arizona.
