There was an article in the  Dispatch sports section on June 5 by Josh Weaver about Ethan Bennett of Morgan Hill, who is running across the US (about 30 miles a day), to raise awareness and money for cancer research with all proceeds going to Lance Armstrong’s LiveStrong organization.

He started running after his mother died of cancer. Just another testament to the strong connection between cancer survivors (and those around them) and running unlike any other sport. I intend to blog more on this topic in the future.  

He is now crossing Utah and plans to arrive in SF in time for the SF Marathon on July 29th.  His web site Run to Fight is here.
