The new mission statement adoped Wednesday night by the Santa Clara County Board of Education states, “The Santa Clara County Office of Education is committed to serving, inspiring and promoting student and public school success,” according to a press release from the SCCOE.
The Board also adoped fresh three-year goals “to improve student equity and reduce access discrepancies to high quality education; provide support to districts, communities, schools and students; be a premier employer; and improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency,” reads the SCCOE release.
Input from all members of the SCCOE Board of Education, the County Superintendent Dr. Xavier De La Torre and members of the SCCOE Leadership was taken into account during the strategic planning process.
“The SCCOE looks forward to engaging with the entire community – teachers, districts, students and families – as the new mission and goals are advanced,” concluded the SCCOE in its release.
