Samuel S. Crocco, 81, of Gilroy, CA, died peacefully at his residence on March 20, 2009. He was born March 20, 1928, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, and is the son of the late Frank and Angelina Crocco. At a young age in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, Samuel became a cement finisher and bricklayer. After 45 years in his craft he retired from the Bricklayers Local 3 in CA. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was a member of the Gilroy Elks Lodge and Gilroy Garlic Roamers RV Club for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Rose Crocco of Gilroy, CA, son and daughter in law, Frank and Mary Crocco of Rio Rancho, NM, daughter and son in law, Ginny and Gary Windell of Mission Viejo, CA, grandsons, Michael, David, and Gary Windell of Mission Viejo, CA, grandson Samuel Crocco of San Jose, CA, granddaughter Rosemary Meehan of San Jose, CA, great-grandson Declan Meehan of San Jose, CA, sister Amelia Filice of Hollister, CA, sister Irene Paone of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers Rocky and John Crocco, and his two sisters Mary Roberto and Dora Ignagni.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11th at 3:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Institute through Habing Family Funeral Home.
