Ruben G. Hernandez October 9, 1924 to December 14, 2016

Ruben died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. He has joined his beloved wife, Concepcion, who he married on October 13, 1959, and with whom he spent 48 years of his life. Our loving Tata will be missed by his surviving daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews. In his early years, Ruben worked harvesting agriculture crops with his sisters. He later proudly worked as a laborer with Rosendin Electric until his retirement in 1984. He loved baking, his woodwork, and his family, which he was always ready and eager to help. He lived a happy and full life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitations will be on Tuesday, December 20th at 5 PM, with a Vigil Service at 7 PM at Lima Campagna Mission Chapel, 600 S 2nd St, San Jose. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, December 21st at 12 PM at St. Catherine Parish, 17400 Peak Ave, Morgan Hill. Interment to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, San Jose. In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation, per his wishes, to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
