He will be interned with military honors, and a memorial service in the future.
 Rocco Joseph Farano, ‘Rocky’ peacefully passed away on September 13, 2013. He was born in Troy, New York; formally of Yonkers and Dobbs Ferry, NY, and retired to Gilroy, and later Morgan Hill, CA.
 He was married to the late Rose Salvagione Farano for 52 years, and is survived by their children, MariJane Farano Maples, Roseanne Farano, Michael Farano, Donna Farano Bova; eight grandchildren; one great- grandchild; a large extended family and his special friends.
 He was revered for his knowledge and restoration expertise of antique cars and airplanes, as well as for his unprecedented love of flying.
 He single-handedly built the Mong Sport N274 that was featured in EAA magazine. He was a participant, winner of a plethora of trophies and a judge at many antique car rallies and air shows.
 He was a veteran of WWll, survived two beach-heads, and was the recipient of multiple Purple Hearts.
 His life was filled with near-death experiences and luck beyond measure, but his best achievement will always be the family who loves him.
