Robert Lee DeWitt passed away in Hollister. He was born in San Jose and lived all of his life in Hollister. He is a graduate of San Benito High School and enjoyed hunting and fishing, collecting baseball cards and football cards, hiking in the mountains and collecting rocks. He was employed for many years with Nob Hills Foods.
He is survived by his children, Lee DeWitt of Hollister, Stacey Vanderlei and her husband, Mike of Hollister and Zachary DeWitt of Hollister, his father, Lloyd DeWitt of Hollister, his brother, Joey DeWitt of Hollister, his uncle, Bill DeWitt of Hollister and his nephews, Jarrod and Joseph DeWitt. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nick Perry, Suzy Brookshire, Michael Vanderlei, Damien DeWitt and Connor DeWitt. He is preceded in death by his mother, Steffi DeWitt who died in 2001.
Friends can pay their respects on Sunday, Oct. 7th from 12:00 noon until 5:00 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with cremation following the funeral. Private family inurnment is planned.
