Some overnight to early morning wet weather in and around South County produced a little more than half inch of rainfall over the past 24 hours in the Morgan Hill-Gilroy area, according to Meteorologist Roger Gass with the National Weather Service.
Some isolated to scattered showers, as well as a few thunderstorms, are forecast for the remainder of Tuesday afternoon, with potential to add a tenth to a quarter-inch to the .53 rainfall total.
“Most of the rainfall through the Santa Clara Valley, down in Gilroy and Morgan Hill, occurred early this morning as the frontal band went through,” Gass said. “After this system moves on out, it looks like dry conditions for the rest of week and heading into next week.”
Temperatures are expected to climb back into the upper 60s and low 70s by the end of the week as well, Gass added.
