Prep Volleyball: Nydam, Wertz lead Bulldogs to sweep of Branham

Samantha Nydam had 23 kills as Sobrato swept Branham Thursday, 25-18, 25-20, 25-20.
The Bulldogs improve to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in Blossom Valley Athletic League play.
Casey Hendricks also broke double-digit kills with 10 as the two girls recorded 89 attacks with just nine errors.
Miranda Wertz was voted player of the game with her 38 assists in 96 attempts and no errors. She also led in digs with 16, followed by Nydam with 14, Natalie Delman with 12 and Riley Moeder with 11.
Wertz also led the Bulldogs on scoring runs, serving 17 times.
Hendricks made an impact serving with three aces in nine attempts.
Sobrato moves on to play Evergreen Valley 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Bulldog gym.
