MORGAN HILL — Adam Jasper had a hat trick plus one, and Garrett Jenks, Ryan Laird and Matt Byrne added goals Wednesday as the Sobrato boys water polo team beat Santa Teresa 12-6 at Lincoln High School for the Bulldogs’ first win in Mount Hamilton Division play.
The win was a confidence boost for Sobrato (1-1 league), which lost by the same score last week to Pioneer.
“It was good to get that first win and move forward,” Bulldogs coach Dave Letts said. “The guys followed the game plan, and we were able to look at things we need to work on.”
Sobrato visits Willow Glen at 6 p.m. next Wednesday and will host the renowned Polo Fest Tournament beginning Friday. Live Oak will be there as well.

The Sobrato Bulldogs battled closely again Wednesday only to suffer their first West Valley Division loss, 2-1, at the hands of Branham.
Katie Merten scored in the second half for Sobrato, but the host Bruins answered with two goals in the same period.
