Petty theft:
• A resident of Myrtle Avenue reported someone came into his yard and took a battery charger. A neighbor witnessed the theft. The report was taken on Sept. 17 at 2:39pm.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported a cell phone was stolen from his granddaughter’s backpack while she was at Gavilan College at the Morgan Hill Community Center. The report was taken at 3:21pm on Sept. 17.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported his daughter’s cell phone was stolen but did not know where. The resident told police a man called to say he has the cell phone but wouldn’t give any more information. The report was taken on Sept. 19 at 1:08pm.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported her daughter’s cell phone was stolen while she was at Live Oak High. The report was taken at 4:39pm on Sept. 20.
