Auto burglary

  • Hidden Meadows, West Dunne Avenue, 6:11am. A resident reported his locked Ford truck and his fiance’s locked Ford Expedition were broken into overnight.

  • Hidden Meadows, West Dunne Avenue, 6:16am. A resident reported their locked Chevy Suburban was broken into overnight.

  • Hidden Meadows, West Dunne Avenue, 6:48am. A Chevy pickup was broken into overnight.

  • Del Monte Avenue, 6:57am. Stereo speakers were stolen from the rear of a Chevy van.

  • Mathilda Court, 6:59am. A resident reported their locked Honda Accord was broken into overnight. The resident also reported at least four other vehicles were broken into in the area.

  • Village Avante Apartment Homes, Del Monte Avenue, 7:02am. A resident reported a locked Honda Civic was broken into overnight.

  • Monte Vista Apartments, del Monte Avenue, 8:25am. A resident reported their locked Honda Civic was broken into overnight, and the stereo was stolen.

  • Del Monte Avenue, 10:55am. A resident reported their vehicle was broken into, and the registration and other documents were stolen.

Embezzlement

  • Target store, Cochrane Plaza shopping center, 3:38pm. An employee allegedly embezzled $400 in gift cards from the store.

June 27

Vandalism

  • Appian Way, 5:08am. A resident reported he heard some juveniles talking loudly and then heard the juveniles throw a rock at a neighbor’s Volkswagen Jetta. He gave officers a description of the vehicle the juveniles were in.

Auto Burglary

  • East Main Avenue, 5:56am. A resident reported a Honda was broken into. The back window was shattered, but it was unclear if anything was stolen from the vehicle at the time of the report.

Stolen vehicle

  • West Middle Avenue, 7:16am. A resident reported their locked Ford truck was stolen from the driveway overnight.

Burglary

  • Go Kids, Crest Avenue, 8:53am. A storage shed at the child care facility was broken into overnight. The lock was pried off, and school supplies were stolen.

Identity theft

  • Mira Bella Circle, 9:10am. A resident reported his wife’s Social Security number is being used, possibly by the ex-brother-in-law’s new wife.

Petty theft

  • Cochrane Road, 8:15am. Copper wire was stolen from a construction site overnight.

June 29

Vandalism

  • Village Avante Apartment Homes, Del Monte Avenue, 4:46am. A resident reported a window of their Toyota Camry was shattered overnight, but it appeared that nothing was stolen from the vehicle.

Auto burglary

  • Village Avante Apartment Homes, Cosmo Avenue, 9:34am. A resident reported his Nissan Sentra was broken into overnight. A window was shattered, and several items were stolen.

  • Cosmo Avenue, 6:13pm. A resident reported their Acura was broken into overnight. A window was shattered, and the stereo was stolen.

  • Big 5 Sporting Goods, Cochrane Plaza shopping center, 6:34pm. A Saturn was broken into while parked outside the store. The lock was “jimmied,” and the CD player was stolen.

June 30

Petty theft

  • La Selva Drive, 10:28am. A resident reported mail was stolen from their mailbox on June 28, and credit card numbers have been used.

July 1

Auto burglary

  • Tarragon Avenue, 6:44am. A resident reported someone broke into his father’s Chevy Suburban and his father’s work truck. A window of the Suburban was shattered, and a laptop and a small TV screen were stolen.

Robbery

  • Mervyn’s, Cochrane Plaza shopping center, 2pm. A resident reported his friend was robbed at Mervyn’s the night before. He said two suspects put a knife to his friend’s neck and took his wallet and cell phone from his pocket. The victim was not hurt and was reluctant to report the robbery.

July 2

Vandalism

  • Morgan Village Condominiums, Brega Lane, 6:24am. A resident reported his company truck was vandalized overnight. The passenger mirror and turn signal were damaged, and there was graffiti on the truck.

  • La Vela Court, 10:36pm. A resident reported their vehicle was “egged.”

July 3

Petty theft

  • Simple Beverages and Cigars, Monterey Road, 7:03pm. The owner reported three suspects stole a $160 bottle of alcohol on July 1.

July 6

Petty theft

  • Valero gas station, Monterey Road, 6:57am. Someone drilled the lock on the station’s air and water machine overnight and stole the coin box, which contained approximately $85.
