held in Arlington, Texas, and won a 2002 Aegis Award in another
national exposition.
Phil Dean Video Productions, of Morgan Hill, recently won a 2002 Communicator Award silver medal in an international competition held in Arlington, Texas, and won a 2002 Aegis Award in another national exposition.
The Aegis Awards, received in the category of Promotional /Sales, are the video industry’s premier competition for peer recognition of outstanding video productions and non-network TV Commercials. The Award of Distinction was won in the category of Commercial/Health Care. Both were for a 10-minute marketing/promotional video produced for IntraHealth Chiropractic and Spa.
The video was written, produced and directed by Dean, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production from San Francisco State University and a Certificate in Video Arts from U.C. Santa Cruz. The assistant producer and creative director and editor was Johnson Kai. Timothy Lane Stenzel was the assistant producer and audio operator.
There were 3,242 entries from 48 states, the District of Columbia and nine other countries in the Communicator Awards 2002 competition.
“The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communication field,” Dean said. “Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.”
The IntraHealth Promotional Video was honored in the category for the Aegis Award for its outstanding production quality by a distinguished panel of judges representing industry professionals from around the country.
“As you can see, this video is fabulous,” said Kate Johnson, General Manager of IntraHealth Chiropractic and Spa. “He is a Master at lighting. He is also a fabulous writer, concise, organized and objective oriented. I would recommend him to anyone.”
Dean plans to start working on a promotional video for the Morgan Hill police and a commercial for Sunshine Bicycles in February.
