Natividad Grimaldo Vargas passed away Friday afternoon in Hollister at the age of 84. Born in Falls City, Texas, she came to Hollister in 1941. Along with being a homemaker and housewife, she worked for several years at Tri-Valley Foods. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Cannery workers Teamster Union, Local 890.

Natividad is survived by her husband, Francisco L. Vargas of Hollister, her children, Lupe Eclarin, husband George, Teri Gutierrez, husband Henry, Rosa Vargas, Frank Vargas, wife Judy, Manuel Vargas, Leticia Vargas and Silvia Alvarez, husband Johnny, all of Hollister, sister of Maria Trevino of Pomona, Lupe Lopez of Anaheim and Emilia Duran of Hollister. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit at the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. with the Rosary to be offered Wednesday evening at 7 P.M. The funeral services will be Thursday morning, leaving the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. proceeding to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a funeral Mass commencing at 10 A.M. Graveside services and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
