A memorial mass will be held in his honor at St. Benedict’s Church, 1200 Fairview Road, Hollister, CA on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 11:00 A.M.,. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.  Michael Doris beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was born on December 1, 1925 in Cherokee, KS. He joined the Navy at age 17 and was proud to have served his country oversees in the U.S. Armed Services during WWII.

 Mike was a long time grocer in Salinas, as co-owner of the Friendly Market and Bi-Wise Market, with his brother. He was an active member of the VFW and past Commander of American Legion Post 593 in Prunedale.

 He enjoyed many nights bowling and participated on numerous recreational teams.

 Mike passed on June 12, 2013, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.

 He was preceded in death by his sister, brother, and devoted wife. Mike will be greatly missed and is survived by two sisters, two daughters, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a large loving family.
