MH Spirit reschedules opening day festivities for this
Saturday
Morgan Hill – Due to the recent stormy weather pounding the Morgan Hill area in the past few weeks the Morgan Hill Spirit softball program was forced to reschedule their opening day festivities from last Saturday to this Saturday, March 18.

Opening ceremonies will be held at San Martin Gwinn School, MH Spirit will also be celebrating the building of two new fields at the San Martin facilities.

Opening day games will be played throughout the day Saturday. Opening ceremonies will commence at about noon. Friendly Fred’s will be on hand serving hot dogs and other lunch items from 11:30am to 1pm.

The two new softball fields is a win/win situation for the program as Spirit will pay for the building and maintenance of the fields and the school children get use of the facility. The new fields will allow the program to take 160 more girls into the program.

Spirit Girls Fastpitch Softball was formed in 1980 and provides recreational softball for nearly 425 girls from the community for ages 5 to 19.
