Morgan Hill boys’ teams placed well at Petaluma meet
The Morgan Hill boys gymnastic team has only been in existence for two years, yet they continue to dominate and perform well against more experienced, “powerhouse” squads.
Over the weekend the Morgan Hill team took on some of northern California’s top teams in Petaluma and came away with an impressive collection of medals.
In addition to earning a second place team trophy, the Morgan Hill team also captured six individual gold medals and two all-around gold medals.
Five of Morgan Hill’s gymnasts also qualified to participate in the Western Regionals in April.
The Morgan Hill gymnasts have been steadily improving since the team’s inception two years ago and have surprised some top teams this season. Last year the Morgan Hill team was not able to even crack the top 20 ranking in the state.
