Too often, less emphasis is put on Division III soccer but would like you to know that girls soccer teams are unable to petition up to Division I as the football teams are allowed to do. We are put into Division 3 based on the size of our school.

It should be noted that during our season we beat both of the Division I finalists (co-champion Live Oak beat us one game as well) and we beat one of the Division 2 finalists. The similarities to Live Oak are uncanny. We have a “macdonald machine” as well; her name is Ali Cheadle. During the CCS playoffs she had two hat tricks for a total of eight goals.

Thank your for recognizing the efforts of our CCS champs. By the way, this is the first CCS title for all of girls sports at Valley since 1987.
