Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at The IOOF Lodge in Hollister. A reception will follow the services at the lodge hall. Officers of Rebekah Lodge No. 29 will officiate.
Interment of Mary Jane Valentine’s cremated remains will be on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the IOOF cemetery in Hollister. Donations are preferred to a charity of choice in memory of Mary Jane Valentine.

Mary Jane Valentine passed away October 10, 2016 in Long Barn, California at the age of 91. She was born in Hollister, California and lived in Hollister for many years prior to moving to Long Barn in 1987, after building her own home there.
She is a 39-year member of Rebekah Lodge No. 29 and served as Noble Grand in 1981. She and her husband, Leslie, were married in 1945 in Hollister. Leslie preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by: her children and their spouses, Thomas and Anna Valentine of Hollister, Richard and Elaine Valentine of Seaside, Bruce Valentine of Hollister, nieces Kathy and Milton Montgomery of Canada, and Rosemary and Luis Garcia of Miami, FL., and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: her parents, Peter and Hazel Nissen; her husband, Leslie Valentine; her nephew, David Buck; 3 brothers, Harold, Jack and Jim Nissen and 2 sisters, Pearl Buck and Loretta Rebensdorf.
