Morgan Hill – Monday’s raid on two marijuana gardens by Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office deputies netted 1,500 plants, according to Deputy Serg Palanov.
The gardens were located in an area near the Sprig Lake turn off of Highway 152 just before Mt. Madonna County Park.
Deputies were assisted by state Fish and Game agents, National Guard members and members of Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP).
According to Palanov, the 1,500 plants brings the department’s total for the year to about 85,000.
The 1,500 plants have a street value of approximately $6 million, while the 85,000 total has an approximate street value of $340 million.
There were no arrests during the raid, Palanov said.
Another raid, this time near San Jose, was planned for Tuesday.
