Marian Scorsur

Marian Scorsur, 85, died May 6, 2018 with her family by her side in San Jose, California.
A memorial service will be held at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-JOHNSON FUNERAL HOME, 17720 Monterey Road, Morgan Hill, on May 20, 2018 at 7pm.
Funeral to be held at St. Catherine’s Church, 17400 Peak Avenue, Morgan Hill, on May 21, 2018 at 11am.
She was born April 10, 1933 in Los Gatos to Floyd and Bernice Hopping. She graduated from San Jose High School where she met her husband Ivan Scorsur. The two lived on the family’s King Road ranch until they relocated to Morgan Hill in 1954 where she worked along side her husband in their Prune orchard and raised eight children.
She was involved with Saint Catherine’s Church and school that her children attended. After her children were grown she and Ivan became active in street rodding. She later took up tap dancing and joined the Fabulous Flappers dancing group of Morgan Hill. Her main interest was family. She enjoyed reading, and devoted her time and energy as a caregiver to her husband. Marian also volunteered at the Kaiser Santa Teresa Hospital for many years.
Mrs. Scorsur is survived by her sister Gerry Najera,; brother Louis VonGrey; two daughters, Gayle Gurnsey and Diane Hawkins; six sons; John, David, Jim, Ben, Mike, and Ivan; and eleven grandchildren,; twenty-seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Scorsur.
