Beloved husband of Pippa Pensotti, died at home of lung cancer, December 19, 2009. He was born in Hollister to Lena Avalli, and Luigi Pensotti on August 13,1932. He moved with his parents to Southern
California at an early age, but returned to Hollister often to visit relatives and especially enjoyed visiting his grandmother, Maria , at her Sunnyslope area ranch. In 1970, Louis had the opportunity to return to the area, and did so, residing in San Juan Bautista since then. Louis graduated from Mark Keppel High School in San Gabriel in 1951, and immediately joined the U. S. Air Force, serving in Japan during the Korean War. He was known for his strength, positive attitude, kind heart, and love of fun. He was an excellent singer and dancer. He was fluent in Spanish, and Japanese, and English, Italian being his first language. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, boating, and riding ATVs. He is survived by his wife, Pippa Pensotti, of San Juan Bautista, niece, Sarah Jaime, nephew Ryan Jaime , sister- in- law Marcie Jaime, brother- in -law , Ralph Jaime, all of Hollister, mother -in -law, Jane Blankenship of Arcata, CA, brother- in -law ,George Kennedy of Arcata, CA, Catherine Caporale, of Claremont , CA, special friends, the Hignel family of San Juan Bautista and numerous cousins in the United States, and Italy. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 30,2009 at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home in Hollister.
