All candidates for Morgan Hill’s local election will appear at a Candidate Forum beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse. There are three candidates for mayor, eight for city council (two open seats) and eight for school board (four open seats). The event is sponsored by AAUW-Morgan Hill and the Morgan Hill Times.

Learn how to maximize your memory

Join in this free program and learn how to tell the difference between normal age related memory loss and dementia at 7 p.m Thursday. Come prepared for an informative and interactive workshop taught by Jennifer Mangosong, the education service manager of the Alzheimer’s Association of Northern California, at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 West Main Ave.

Go nuts to supports local Girl Scouts

To help fund service projects and activities in the fall and winter, local Girl Scouts are selling nuts and magazines through a program designed to help them learn goal setting, financial literacy and confidence building. Girl Scout troops will visit neighborhoods through Oct. 21 taking pre-orders, with deliveries starting Nov. 5.
