 Linda D. Barrena, 59, of Gilroy, CA passed away peacefully in her home, on Sunday, March 29, 2015, in the presence of her husband and family.
 She is survived by her husband, Charles M. Barrena, step-children, Douglas Barrena, Carmela Soto and Lynette Barrena. She also had nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
 Linda was born in San Dimas, CA. She attended high school in San Dimas and eventually became the secretary with the doctorate program at the University of La Verne, where she met her future husband, Charles M. Barrena. They were married in Gilroy, June 23, 1984.
 She worked as a secretary for several years in the insurance business. Upon her retirement, she and Charles travelled to Mexico yearly, Egypt, Italy and Spain. Their favorite yearly trips close by were Lake Tahoe and Palm Springs.
 Linda was very artistic. She spent a lot of time making ceramic figures and painting them. She was also  a Mary Kay consultant for the last 15 years.
 Linda enjoyed the many friends she has made throughout her life, especially her Bunco friends who got together once a month to play for the last 26 years.
 Her family and friends will miss her generous, loving and feisty spirit.
