A time of gathering and inurnment is being planned by the family to be held during the McClure Bean Soup Festival 2016. 
 Larry Lee Snook, 78, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015, at his home in San Antonio. 
 He was born January 20, 1937 to Floyd and Kathryn (Hoffman) Snook in Wagner, PA.
 Larry is survived by his loving wife, Muriel Merle (Hillis) Snook; son Kris (Marianne) Snook; siblings, Joann Renninger, Warren Snook, Irene Wyatt, Connie Myers, and Sandy Cobb; three grandchildren, Jessica, Benjamin and Rebecca; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. 
 He was preceded in death by a brother, David, and two sons, Ronald and Kevan.
 Larry joined the Air Force in 1954 where most of his service was at Elmendorf Air Base, AK. He then joined GTE Sylvania which allowed him to pursue his dream of traveling. He lived in numerous states in the US, as well as in England, Scotland, Germany, Italy, and Turkey. During these years he made many treasured, lifelong friends. He retired in San Antonio in 1993.
 Larry enjoyed spending time at his weekend house with special friends and spending time with his grandchildren and wife, Merle. 
 He was instrumental in building American Legion Post 300.
