A mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday December 15th, 2015, at 11:00 A.M., at St. Benedict Church, 1200 Fairview Road, Hollister. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Ā Kristy Jean Marcus, 63, passed away peacefully at her home with her family, on December 7th, 2015. Ā
Ā She was a life-long resident of San Benito County, attended local schools and played a vital role in partnering to build the family business.Ā
Ā A devoted wife of 41 years to Donnie Marcus, mother to Dana (Matt) Hearne and Richard (Alexis) Marcus and daughter-in-law to Juanita Marcus.Ā
Ā Kristy was the proud grandmother to Hollyn, Hailey and Matthew Hearne and Tyler and Olivia Marcus. Ā
Ā She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Betty Lomanto, her sister, Barbie Lomanto Stevens and her father-in-law, Donald Marcus.
Ā She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who devoted her life to following the many activities of her family and friends.Ā
Ā She spent countless hours travelling in support of her kids, and grandkids, soccer, baseball, basketball, football, track, and volleyball games, as well as many college rodeos. She often accompanied Donnie to many local calf brandings and team roping events. Ā
Ā One of her favorite times of the year was in June for the San Benito County Saddlehorse Show and Rodeo. Though she did not compete, she followed with loyal ambition to make sure that those she loved had everything they needed to succeed.Ā
Ā Her favorite time was spent hosting family meals, knitting, and playing with her grandchildren.Ā
Ā Her memory will be long-lived and she will be missed by many lifelong friends and family members.
